The National Ambulance Sector Office (NASO), on behalf of Te Whatu Ora and the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC), is part way through a substantial reconfiguration of national air ambulance services. The Aeromedical Commissioning Programme aims to transform the aeromedical service system from a collection of disconnected services using ageing aircraft and infrastructure, to an integrated, high-quality, equitable system that delivers better outcomes for patients across the motu.
