What is My Health Account Workforce?

My Health Account Workforce is Te Whatu Ora – Health New Zealand’s new health workforce digital identity service. The service securely connects Aotearoa New Zealand’s health workforce to digital health services from anywhere.

Digital identity is how you can prove who you are online in a safe, secure, and easily accessible way. Having a My Health Account Workforce means that as a member of our health workforce, your information related to your health workforce identity is kept completely separate to your digital health identity as a health consumer, which is stored in My Health Account.

Te Whatu Ora created My Health Account Workforce to enable existing and future workforce-related digital health services to verify the identity of health workforce members.

We’ll get in touch when the right time comes for you to sign up for a My Health Account Workforce so you can start to get the most out of the digital health services you use at work.

Over time, more and more work-related digital health services will be linked to My Health Account Workforce. As services are added, you will be able to read more about them on our connected digital health services page.

Why you need a My Health Account Workforce

My Health Account Workforce enables work-related digital health services to accurately identify you as an individual health workforce member. It connects you to your health workforce information online as well as work-related digital health services that you need to securely access in your health workforce role. My Health Account Workforce means we can be sure that only you can access and manage relevant information online that you need to do your job.

Health workforce members aged 16 years and over can set up a My Health Account Workforce for when you are operating in your health workforce role to deliver healthcare services. You can set up a separate health consumer My Health Account for when you are receiving health services.

If you are a registered health practitioner and have previously added your HPI number (CPN) to your My Health Account and use it for both personal and work purposes, or if you currently have a separate My Health Account with your CPN added that you use for work purposes only, you will be given support in the coming months to transition to My Health Account Workforce.

In the coming months, we will support the health workforce using My Health Account to log in to the Aotearoa Immunisation Register (AIR) and the Workforce Requests’ portal to transition to My Health Account Workforce.

You can find out more about how we collect, store, and share your information in our Privacy statement.
