The Tairāwhiti immunisation coordinator:

  • monitors immunisation rates in the Tairāwhiti region
  • provides immunisation information to the public, health professionals and health promoters
  • manages the authorised non-medical vaccinator programme
  • oversees cold chain management
  • manages the Hepatitis B programme for babies born to Hepatitis B mothers.

Te Tai Tokerau
The Te Tai Tokerau immunisation coordinator works to decrease vaccine-preventable diseases in Northland through improved immunisation coverage. The coordinator:
  • offers immunisation coordination to Northland immunisation service providers
  • provides up to date immunisation information to other nursing professionals, immunisation service providers, and children and their families
  • promotes informed decision making
  • works closely with allied health professionals and community groups and schools throughout Northland.
The coordinator also works with midwives and general practitioners to enrol and track babies born with Hepatitis B surface antigen and their mothers.
