There are a number of different pieces of legislation that define Aotearoa New Zealand's border health measures.
Whatu Tāniko pattern
  • International Health Regulations

    New Zealand has signed the International Health Regulations 2005 – an agreement developed by World Health Organization member countries.
  • New Zealand border legislation

    A number of New Zealand statutes and regulations contain provisions relevant to border health protection.
  • Key border health provisions

    The core border health provisions in New Zealand legislation are contained in Parts 3, 3A, and 4 of the Health Act 1956.
