Silver Diamine Fluoride Guidance
Guidance on the use of Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) is now available for registered oral health practitioners in New Zealand.
Endorsed by the Oral Health National Clinical Network, it includes comprehensive recommendations to support New Zealand registered oral health practitioners in the safe and effective application of SDF, for managing dental caries and dental hypersensitivity.
The new guidance was initially developed and consulted on by the Oral Health Clinical Advisory Network (OHCAN), which has recently been disestablished.
