• Acute Mental Health Unit

    A long-term strategic solution to provide a new, purpose built acute mental health unit. It is currently under construction with an expected completion date of June 2025.

  • Ka Ora Kāinga Rua

    A long-term strategic solution to increase and improve hospital services. It is in the initial planning phase and will likely include a new acute services block and the re-lifting of the current clinical services block.

  • SPIRE project

    An interim solution to increase theatre and gastroenterology services, and to establish our first interventional cardiology catheterisation laboratory. This project was completed by the end of 2023.

  • MAPU and EDOA

    An interim solution to provide a new facility for our Medical Assessment & Planning Unit and the Emergency Department Observation Area. Completed February 2023.
