The Fire Engineering Design Guide for Hospitals sets minimum requirements for fire safety design in hospital buildings, complying with New Zealand Building Code standards. This guide addresses ambiguities in current fire design legislation, which have previously led to delays and extra costs. Developed in collaboration with the Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment (MBIE) and Fire and Emergency New Zealand (FENZ), the Fire DGN has been approved by our Executive Leadership Team and fully endorsed by MBIE and FENZ.
