This appendix provides steps for escalating communicable disease issues to national teams for discussion or coordinated response.

Escalation pathways

These pathways are intended to provide a clear process for use by local public health teams for any communicable disease issues that need:

peer discussion with national teams
to be shared with national teams for information/awareness
escalation to national teams for a nationally enabled response (e.g. coordination of an IMT)
