Interim Health NZ Chief Executive, Dr Dale Bramley, has announced Richard May has been appointed to the role of National Director, Business and Governance Services at Health NZ.

The role is responsible for leading across business and governance services including Legal, Audit, Assurance and Risk, Communications and Engagement, Government Services and Office of the Chief Executive.

Richard has been working on secondment at Health NZ from the NZTA where he led functions like Government Services and has most recently been Chief of Staff.

Richard has proven ability building capability and providing direction and leadership to high performing teams in high pressure, fast paced environments.  His experience will help deliver rapid improvement in the transparency of Health NZ, particularly how the organisation responds to challenges in the Official Information Act space and the communication approach, Dr Bramley says.
