Provisional vaccinator roles were introduced as part of the COVID-19 response and expired after two years. All authorisations for Provisional Vaccinators and Provisional Pharmacist Vaccinators expired by the end of October 2024 and those who held one of these roles are no longer authorised to administer vaccines.
