Summary
This document presents the required data standards for suppliers and items master data in the Health System Catalogue. The purpose is to establish a common language to enable key supply chain data to be shared and used among district health boards, suppliers, PHARMAC and NZ Health Partnerships | Hono Oranga Aotearoa.
This document was created by a national working group convened in 2020 by NZ Health Partnerships to set standards for the Health System Catalogue. The present scope of the data set is medical devices. This will be extended to other item types and services as the Health System Catalogue develops.
The Health System Catalogue will be used to support procurement, purchasing, distribution and consumption as part of the Health Finance, Procurement and Information Management (FPIM) operational platform.
The edition of this specification is designed to enable DHBs to review and improve the quality of their supplier and item data ahead of the introduction of the new systems.
