About PRIMHD

The Programme for the Integration of Mental Health Data (PRIMHD) national collection is a reporting platform that enables operational performance reporting, benchmarking, service improvement and policy development for mental health and addiction services.

Used as a tool for analytics and insights, PRIMHD helps to improve experience and outcomes for all mental health and addiction tangata whaiora/consumers. The PRIMHD standard supports this purpose by ensuring that the data collected from mental health and addiction services from around the country is consistent and high quality.

HISO 10023.1:2023 PRIMHD Data Process Standard

Overview of the PRIMHD data process standard

This standard provides direction to mental health and addiction service providers and stakeholders to ensure that appropriate and timely information on service provision is collected at a national level, to enable relevant analysis and reporting.

The PRIMHD Standard documents have been developed with significant input from a range of service providers.
