Today we are confirming one new case of measles. The number of known measles cases since 8 October 2025 nationally is now 22, of whom 21 are no longer infectious.

This new case is in Wellington and is linked to an earlier case.

We have updated the locations of interest page (external link) with new locations in Wellington, and further locations will be added as they are confirmed. We encourage anyone who has been at the locations below to check the page, follow the instructions if they are identified as a casual contact, and monitor for symptoms of measles.

Anyone who develops symptoms of measles, including fever, cough, runny or red eyes, and a rash starting at the face, should contact Healthline on 0800 611 116, or their usual healthcare provider.
