Today we are confirming two new cases of measles. The number of known measles cases nationally is now 21, of whom 18 are no longer infectious.

These cases are in Nelson and are closely linked to an existing case in Nelson.

We have updated the locations of interest page (external link) with new locations in Nelson, Auckland and Waikato, and encourage anyone who has been at the locations below to check the page and follow the instructions listed if they are a close or casual contact, and to monitor for symptoms of measles.

Anyone who develops symptoms of measles, including fever, cough, runny or red eyes, and a rash starting at the face, should contact Healthline on 0800 611 116, or their usual healthcare provider.
