It has always been part of the sign-up process in My Health Account (external link) to set up two-step identification (multi-factor authentication), it is required with each login. When you log in, you’ll be asked to enter a unique verification code that will be sent to either your email address or mobile phone.
This step helps ensure that only you are accessing your account. You may already be familiar with this security measure as it is standard practice across many digital systems in the public and private sector, to ensure the best possible protection for people’s health information.
What do I need to do?
Just follow the prompts the next time you log in. It only takes a minute. The code will be sent to the second authentication method (your email address or mobile phone number) you used when you created your account.
