Important update for Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora suppliers

To align with National Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora purchasing processes, from 1 September 2025 suppliers:

  • Must be issued with an approved Health New Zealand purchase order before the supply of any goods and/or services.
  • Are required to quote the purchase order number when submitting an invoice.
  • Please be aware that any invoices that do not include a current purchase order number may be returned and not processed from 1 September 2025.
  • If your invoice is returned, you will need to resend the invoice with the correct purchase order number.  If you do not have a purchase order number, please request one from your Health New Zealand contact.
