About the training module

This training module helps you to:

  • strengthen your skills in working with former refugee patients and their whānau in a culturally responsive and trauma-informed way
  • understand your part in a coordinated cross-sector approach, making collaboration with other services smoother and more effective
  • support more equitable health outcomes for former refugees by addressing specific health needs and barriers to care
  • grow your professional capability in a nationally aligned model, so you're better equipped to meet to provide equitable healthcare to quota refugees.

Who the training module is for

The training module is primarily for the workforce in the refugee sector, such as:

  • health professionals
  • refugee resettlement providers
  • NGOs
  • other government agencies.

How long the training module takes

This training will take approximately 30 minutes.

How often you should do the training

We recommend you complete the training module once. Repeating will refresh your knowledge, but it will not update your verified record.
