Preceptorship is a supportive period which is not necessarily an extension of formal training but a time during which knowledge, skills, experiences and appropriate attitudes acquired during training are applied to practice.

This period also covers socialisation to the new area and attention to wellbeing of all new staff members.

As preceptors of undergraduate nursing students you may be with students from different educational institutions.

This section is designed to help you with the requirements for each year of study and for each institution.
